Even though I try to cook and eat healthy most of the time, there is always room for some treats (especially around the holidays)! Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to make some cute and yummy treats with your little ones. These pretzels only require a couple ingredients and are super easy to make. They’re crunchy, sweet and adorable to look at! These are great to make to give out as gifts to neighbors or friends and family. We love snacks and treats in our house, so we will leave it out for the family to enjoy over the day. I hope you love these pretzels as much as my family and I do!

Ingredients

You will need Mini Pretzels, White Chocolate Chips, Food Coloring– I like using natural food coloring when I can and this one you can order from Amazon Plant Based Food Coloring, Valentine’s Sprinkles– I also like using natural sprinkles when I can and these are the ones I used for this recipe Natural Pink Sprinkles.

For Littles

Don’t get me wrong, I loved making these with my 20-month-old, but it is messy. Make sure you’re okay with a mess and your little one getting white chocolate all over their fingers if you are going to make these with them. These are a fun treat, but I would stick to serving maybe just one or two pretzels depending on how old your little is. You can serve these to your littles 18 months+.

How To

Melt your chocolate over a double boiler or microwave and put in your food coloring. Mix.

Throw some pretzels into the bowl with of white chocolate and mix.

Pull the pretzels out one by one, shaking off excess chocolate and place on the parchment covered baking sheet. Repeat and top with sprinkles.

Let set and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups mini pretzels

  • 1 11 oz bag white chocolate, melted * (see notes)

  • 1 drop red food coloring

  • 1/2 cup valentines sprinkles

Directions

  • Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Melt your white chocolate using your melting preference. Then add in the food coloring and mix with a rubber spatula until combined.
  • Put 5-7 pretzels into the chocolate and mix with a rubber spatula until the pretzels are completely covered in the chocolate.
  • Working quickly, take out each pretzel, shaking off the excess chocolate and placing on the parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle the sprinkles onto the pretzels before the chocolate sets. Repeat this until all the pretzels are coated and sprinkled.
  • Let set for a couple minutes and then you can serve! You can store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Enjoy!:)

Notes

  • * I like to melt the chocolate by using a double boiler. You do this by putting some water in a pot, and putting a glass bowl that will fit on top of the pot that doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot. Turn the heat on high and place the chocolate in the glass bowl. Stir continuously until the chocolate has melted. Alternatively, you can melt in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until the chocolate has melted.
