I have been making this banana bread since Willow was a baby. Since this recipe was created when she was a baby, it is made with only whole and healthy ingredients that babies can have! Even though this recipe is baby-friendly, I eat it too because it is so delicious. It’s made in one bowl and comes out perfect every time. I hope you love this bread as much as we do!

Ingredients

You will need Ripe Bananas, Whole Fat Yogurt, an Egg, Maple Syrup – I love the maple syrup in this but if you want to leave it out you can, Vanilla Extract, Whole Wheat Flour – I really recommend this flour because it is better for our bodies than white flour, Cinnamon, Baking Soda and Salt.

For Littles

This healthy recipe is perfect for babies and my toddler still loves it to this day. It is made with whole ingredients and is incredibly delicious. It’s also an easy food for your little one to chew and eat. You can serve this to your littles 7 months +!

How To

In a bowl, mash the bananas.

Add in the wet ingredients and whisk. Then add in the dry ingredients and mix.

Put in a loaf pan, and baking at 325 for 40-45 minutes.

Serve warm!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 ripe bananas

  • 1 whole egg

  • 1/3 cup whole fat yogurt

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 325. Spray your loaf pan with non-stick olive oil spray or grease it with butter. Then cut a piece of parchment paper to fit snug into the loaf pan. Set aside!
  • In a big bowl, add your bananas and mash with a potato masher or a fork. Mash until there are no more big chunks of bananas.
  • Add in the egg, yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla. Wish until combined.
  • Then add in your whole wheat flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Mix with a rubber spatula until combined.
  • Using the rubber spatula, scoop the batter into the loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Place in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it sit to cool for at least 25 minutes, and then you can simply take hold of the parchment paper and lift the bread out of the loaf pan.
  • Serve warm! You can keep the bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Enjoy!:)
