My mom made this popcorn every holiday season growing up, and now it’s a a holiday staple in ny home. It’s simple, yet delectable. It’s sweet but salty, creamy but crunchy. This 3 ingredient wonder is a perfect holiday sweet treat. I love to not only make it for my family, but make it for neighbors and friends as a holiday gift. This recipe is fun to make with kids; you can add sprinkles to make it even more festive! I hope you love this recipe as much as my family does!

Ingredients

You will need Popcorn, I use the Orville Popcorn Kernels. I pop them and use them in the recipe. You will also need Almond Bark, I use the Almond Bark from target. If you can’t find almond bark, you can substitute for white chocolate and add 1 teaspoon almond extract. You also need a bag of Fritos!

For Littles

This is such a fun sweet snack to make with your kids. It’s fun to make it even more festive by adding sprinkles or even some holiday candies like m&ms. You can serve this to your little 3 years old+. Popcorn can be a choking hazard, so that’s why an older age is recommended. However, I give my 19 month old some of the Fritos in this recipe and she loves them.

How To

Pop your popcorn and set aside. Then melt your almond bark.

Combine the popcorn and Fritos in a big bowl. Add in the melted bark and stir to combine.

Lay the popcorn mixture out on parchment paper and let set for a couple hours.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 24 cups popped popcorn (3/4 cup un popped popcorn) * see notes

  • 1 bag fritos

  • 1 lb melted almond bark ** see notes

Directions

  • In a big bowl (if you don’t have a big enough bowl, separate into 2 batches), mix together the fruits and popcorn evenly.
  • Pour in the melted almond bark and using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, mix until the popcorn mixture all coated in the almond bark.
  • Spread out onto 2-3 sheets of parchment paper on your counter. Let set for 3 hours.
  • You can store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Enjoy!:)

Notes

  • * Air popped or old fashioned popcorn is best! No butter, just plain popcorn. I like to just pop the kernels right before I mix them in with the Fritos.
  • ** I like to melt it by using a double boiler. You do this by putting some water in a pot, and putting a glass bowl that will fit on top of the pot that doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot. Turn the heat on high and place the bark in the glass bowl. Stir continuously until the bark has melted.
