Chocolate Avocado Pudding

I will sometimes get into a health kick where I try out dessert recipes that could be considered a healthy dessert. They don’t always turn out and aren’t always worth the hype- I would almost always rather have the real thing- a dessert made with butter and sugar! However, this recipe is a keeper. It will make you feel light while also satisfying your sweet tooth. The avocado makes this pudding creamy, and the cocoa powder and melted chocolate gives it a great rich chocolate flavor. This recipe takes only minutes to prepare and is even better the next day.

What I love about using an avocado in this is that the avocado is masked by the chocolate flavor, but you still get the creaminess and richness from the avocado.

This recipe requires only 6 ingredients, but feel free to use different ingredients to fit your diet.

Ingredients:

2 Ripe Avocados (Medium to Large), 1/2 Cup of Whole Milk (Or Milk of Your Choosing), 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, 1/3 Cup Melted Chocolate Chips (Chocolate Chips of Your Choosing), 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (Or a Different Sweetener of Your Choice), and 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

How to Make:

Combine the avocados, milk, cocoa powder, melted chocolate chips, maple syrup and vanilla extract into a food processer or blender. Blend until your get a smooth and creamy consistency.

You can either eat it right out of the food processor or blender (which is what I prefer), or you can chill it in the fridge to eat it when cold!

I love to shave chocolate on top and add some berries to it to give it a nice bright flavor!

Tips:

Make sure your avocados are ripe! If they are not ripe they will not blend properly and create the texture that you want.

Depending on how big your avocados are, you may need to add more milk to create the creamy consistency.

When storing, I love to mix berries into the avocado pudding for eating in the following days!
