I try my best to eat my vegetables (easier said than done) and especially vegetables that are in season. Brussels sprouts are hearty, leafy and if done right, can be one of the most delicious vegetables out there. Also, adding bacon or maple flavor to anything will automatically make it delicious! This is an amazing fall recipe that’s great for a football potluck (football season is about here…my favorite time of year šŸ™‚ ) or a simple side to go with a protein like chicken or pork. Heck, the bacon in this dish makes it enough for these sprouts to be a main!

How To

The main ingredients are brussels sprouts, halved or quartered depending on size, as well as chopped bacon – I love Simple Truth Thick Cut Bacon. You can find it at Fred Meyer, and they have other cuts of the bacon as well…I love what they stand for as far as clean ingredients!

Can’t forget about the Maple of course! & Olive oil

Once you mix the brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper, throw it on the sheet pan with bacon and toss in the oven! I then top it with more maple syrup… because why not?
