These spider ritz sandwiches are an adorable and festive treat to make for Halloween. This 4 ingredient spooky snack is sweet and salty with tons of texture and chocolate flavor. Super fun to make for toddlers and kids!

These spider ritz sandwiches are one of my favorite Halloween treats to make. They’re made with Ritz crackers, pretzel sticks, chocolate spread and candy eyes. They’re super to easy to make and will last a couple days! Other Halloween treats on my blog include my Chocolate Ghost Bark and my Banana Mummies.

These are perfect to make for a party! They’re adorable to set out on a platter and they can easily be prepared in advance! I hope you love this recipe as much as my family and I do!

Ingredients

Ritz Crackers – used for the body of the spider

Pretzel Sticks – for the legs of the spider

Chocolate Spread – you can also use Nutella! I used the chocolate almond spread from Trader Joe’s for this. You can use what you like

Candy Eyes

For Littles

These are so fun to make for your littles and will make Halloween that more fun and special! They’re fun to make WITH your littles, too. You can serve these to your little 2 years old+!

How To

Spread the chocolate spread on the inside of two ritz crackers. Break 4 pretzel sticks in half and stick 4 on each side of one of the crackers. Place the other cracker on top. Then dip two candy eyes into the chocolate and place on the front of the cracker. Repeat! Enjoy!:)

Spider Ritz Sandwiches

Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 24 ritz crackers
  • 48 pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup chocolate spread (like Nutella)
  • 24 candy eyes

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or prepare a platter where you can set them down as you’re making them
  • Start by grabbing two ritz crackers and spreading chocolate spread with a butter knife on the inside of both ritz crackers. The crackers should have just enough chocolate to cover the crackers
  • Then take 4 pretzel sticks and break them in half. Stick 4 halves on one side of one side of the cracker so they’re sticking to the chocolate and then stick the other 4 pretzel halves on the other side. Then take the other ritz cracker and stick it right on top of the cracker with pretzel halves. Now you should have the spider body assembled
  • Stick the candy eyes in the chocolate and place on the ritz cracker spider sandwiches. Repeat all these steps 11 more times to make 12 sandwiches
  • Serve! You can store for up to 3 days. Enjoy!:)
