It is officially Stone Fruit season! This recipe uses one of the stone fruits, apricots. This is a simple yet delicious dessert you can whip up for a quick snack or as a sweet dish for a barbeque. The apricot’s natural sweetness is the star, but the caramelization from the brown sugar is a delicious touch.
Ingredients:
6-8 Apricots (Depending on size), 1/4 Cup of Cold Butter (Cut Into Pieces), 3 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar, 2 Teaspoons of Cinnamon
How to Make:
Halve the apricots and place into a 9 by 11 greased glass pan. Place the pieces of cut butter onto each apricot half and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on top evenly.
Put into the oven at 350 for 10-12 minutes, or until the brown sugar is caramelizing.
And voila! Mouthwatering!
Tips:
Feel free to use any other stone fruit, like peaches!
Covering the apricots evenly with all the ingredients is key.
