Technically blueberry season is coming to end…but I don’t care. As long as blueberries taste as good as they do in the spring and summer, I am using them in everything! This blueberry chia jam is sweet, full of yummy citrus flavor and has an incredible texture. It is the easiest jam to make. You won’t want to buy store bought jam anymore!

Why chia seeds?

Chia seeds do wonders for our bodies. Among other things, they help with gut health, help to stabilize blood sugar, and are good for bone and heart health.

Not only do the chia seeds offer many healthy benefits, but they offer an amazing texture to the jam. As the chia seeds cook with the other ingredients, they start to expand slightly, and it creates an amazing chewy texture.

For Littles

This is baby (age 1+) and toddler friendly! The chia seeds are cooked and not raw, so they are safe for anyone to eat. The texture will be fun for them, as well as the many delicious flavors this jam has. You can serve this 12 months+! (*Due to the addition of honey to this recipe, please don’t offer to babies less than a year old).

How To

Combine the ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes until a thick texture is created.

Spread on toast or store it in a jar!
