When I tell you my toddler drinks this entire smoothie every single time I make it, I’m not exaggerating. I don’t blame her; this smoothie is sweet, tangy, creamy and thick. It’s hard to resist! I make a smoothie once a day for Willow and I to share, and this smoothie is always on the list for the week. Not only is this smoothie incredibly delicious, but it’s so good for you. There’s fiber, protein, vitamin C, iron and many other important nutrients we need to live a healthy life. I hope you love this smoothie as much as me and my family do!

Ingredients

You will need Frozen Mango – I recommend frozen because not only does it make the smoothie creamier, but it’s easier than peeling and chopping a mango, Spinach, Whole Fat Yogurt – you can use low fat if that’s what you have on hand, but whole fat makes this smoothie creamy, Coconut Water – I really recommend using coconut water because it adds a nice subtle sweetness, but tap water is ok, and Ice.

For Littles

My 20-month-old is obsessed with this smoothie, and I bet your little one will be too! Willow loves fruity and creamy smoothies (who doesn’t?), and this one fits the bill. It’s also extremely healthy and provides great fiber to assist digestive systems, some good protein to help feel full, and healthy fats which are so important for developing brains! You can serve this to your little 7 months +. I really started giving Willow smoothies after she was about a year old, but it’s okay to offer it before then, too.

How To

Throw all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup frozen mango

  • 2 cup spinach

  • 1/4 cup whole fat yogurt

  • 1/2 cup ice

  • 1 cup to 1 1/4 cup coconut water

Directions

  • Throw all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Start off with only 1 cup of coconut water and keep adding little bits at a time if smoothie is too thick. You want a thick smoothie, but it needs to be able to blend, too.
  • Serve cold! Enjoy!:)
